• Athletes may also register onsite and pick up their bib at each race up to 15 minutes prior to the start of the race.
• Course Support: Aid stations providing Gatorade and water are located at the start and/or finish area. Vail and Beaver Creek Mountain Ski Patrol and staff from Steadman Clinic will be located throughout the course.
• Altitude: Because these races are run at elevations between 8,000 and 11,000 feet, it is advised that runners who live at lower elevations acclimate prior to the race. Runners are encouraged to hydrate before, during and immediately following the race.  A racer who requires medical assistance during the race, should stop at an aid station and notify officials.
• Temperature/Weather: Temperatures and weather conditions can vary drastically in the mountains. Runners are encouraged to prepare accordingly.
• Gear Check: Runners will be able to deposit clothing and personal items at the race start/finish area.  For the Vail HillClimb, Half Marathon and Berry Picker, gear that is deposited at the start line will be transported to the finish line at the summit.
• Dogs: For the safety of all runners, dogs are NOT allowed in any of the events.
• Ages: Participants must be at least (13) thirteen-years-old. Parents must also sign a Vail Resorts release for any participant under the age of (18) eighteen prior to the race.
• T-shirts: Each participant will receive a commemorative T-shirt at the finish line.
• Courses: Course maps and elevation profiles can be found on the Trail Running Series Page.
• Race results: Races are professionally timed events with results tracked and recorded throughout the race. Official results are posted on VRD's website within 24 hours.
• Series Awards: The series consists of the, Boneyard Boogie, Beaver Creek Summer Solstice Trail Run, Vail HillClimb, Half-Marathon, Berry Picker, 10K @ 10,000 Feet and the Evergold. Runners must complete five out of the seven races to be eligible for series points. 5k races are not included in series points. Prizes for the top three finishers in each age group, as well as raffle prizes will be handed out following each race.
• Runner Number: Runners should wear their bib number visibly on the front of their clothing. Upon crossing the finish line, the finish tag will be taken from the big. Runners have an additional tear tag on their bib for the raffle following the race and should place this tag in the raffle box near the finish line.
